I have had a crush on Halle Berry ever since her appearance in Bulworth. The hit and run actress was even kind enough to show her male fans a cheap breast shot in Swordfish; something she marketed months before the film entered theatres. Seriously, she would appear on some show and say, "See my breasts in Swordfish."
All in all, quite an open and very classy lady.
Halle Berry to Star in Class Act
According to Variety, DreamWorks has picked up Halle Berry to star in Class Act, a film written and directed by Dough Atchison.
Berry will play Tierney Cahill, a teacher from Reno, Nev., who took a challenge from her sixth-grade students to run for Congress in the 2000 elections on the condition that they would help run her campaign. The single mother ultimately lost her bid to an incumbent, but she ended up winning 35% of the popular vote.
The move to grab Halle Berry for the role is an interesting one, especially since the real Tierney Cahill is a white woman. DreamWorks claims that the 'right' actress was better than the 'white' actress.
Well said.
DreamWorks has picked up the project in turnaround from Revolution Studios in hopes of getting it into production by next May or June.
Halle Berry last appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand and is currently working on Perfect Stranger.
