Touchstone Pictures has
released a new poster for their upcoming thriller, The
Prestige, just in time for the weekend.
The Prestige Poster
From acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins), comes
a mysterious story of two magicians whose intense rivalry leads them on
a life-long battle for supremacy full of obsession, deceit and jealousy
with dangerous and deadly consequences.
From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert
Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) were competitors.
However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making
them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of
everyone around them. Full of twists and turns, The Prestige is set against
the backdrop of turn-of-the-century London, the exceptional cast includes
two-time Oscar winner Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson and David Bowie.
The Prestige Poster
I dig the poster, even though it doesn't fit the period that this film takes
place in. This poster would be something I could imagine if this story took
place in the, I don't know, early '70s. Touchstone should try something
a little closer to what Yari Film Group did for The
Illusionist; don't be afraid of the brown hues, especially
since they are showcased in the film.
