Joseph Fiennes
Joseph Fiennes loves both the period pieces and the arts. He has been in love with Shakespeare, a Merchant of Venice, an Earl to Elizabeth, and a jealous Rusky in Enemy at the Gates.
It would also seem that Fiennes has a thing for music, especially The Four Seasons.
Joseph Fiennes for Vivaldi Biopic
According to Variety, Joseph Fiennes will play the Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi from a script by journalist Steven Freedman.
Boris Damast will direct.
Vivaldi follows the composer as a young priest assigned to serve as music master of a school for the abandoned, illegitimate daughters of Venice's courtesans. He bonds with the girls, which leads to his landing a concert of his music before the pope.
Freedman has spent more than two decades researching Vivaldi, whose most famous composition is The Four Seasons.
Lena Headey also joins the biopic's cast, which includes Malcolm McDowell, Jacqueline Bisset and Zuleikha Robinson.
Besides the films mentioned above, you can currently see Fiennes in theatres with Running with Scissors. The actor has two other films coming our way including Goodbye Bafana and The Red Baron.
Hollywood can't help but do projects in pairs with another Vivaldi project also in development over at Imagine Entertainment and Columbia.
