A while back we predicted that the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix would come either late October or early November. Well, we were close.
Order of the Phoenix Teaser November 17th
That is correct, the Official Harry Potter Newsletter has confirmed that Warner Bros plans to can the teaser trailer for OotP with the release of the animated film Happy Feet opening to theatres on November 17th.
Now, with good news also comes bad news.
According to the Newsletter, the teaser trailer will ONLY be seen in theatres, meaning you may have to check out Happy Feet if you want to see the preview on the day of its release. I, however, can't help but think Warner Bros will release the trailer online by the end of the 17th to avoid the risk of leaks to sites such as YouTube. Sure, it may not be the usual late Wednesday or early Thursday online release we have come to expect from highly anticipated films, but at least we won't have to wait until after the weekend.
Or will we? Nah, Warner Bros can't be that mean.
What do you think Warner Bros will incorporate into the teaser trailer for OotP? The house, the order, the final battle, what? The teaser trailer for Goblet of Fire had the benefit of showing off the two new schools and the Triwizard Tournament. This time around they have no such easy outs.
Maybe the preview will give us a look inside Professor Snapes' past?
