So much better. That is the only way I can describe the new and improved poster for the upcoming Paramount thriller Zodiac starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Edwards.
Zodiac Poster
Based on the true story of one of the most intriguing unsolved crimes in the nation’s history, Zodiac is a thriller from David Fincher, director of Seven and Fight Club. As a serial killer terrifies the San Francisco Bay Area and taunts police with his ciphers and letters, investigators in four jurisdictions search for the murderer. The case will become an obsession for four men as their lives and careers are built and destroyed by the endless trail of clues.
Right about when the film's release got pushed we received what one of readers called the first poster for the film (previewed below). Upon first viewing I was so put off that we didn't even post it; hell, we still wonder if it is even real. How could a poster on a film from the guy who brought us Se7en suck so bad? Fortunately, the piece of media didn't go anywhere and I only choose to preview it now so you can appreciate how money the first official poster is.
Zodiac- Unofficial Poster (fanmade)
Zodiac Poster
"From the Director of Se7en and Panic Room?" It would be better if it read, "From the Director of Se7en and Fight Club." That's almost as bad as the Little Man tagline that read, "From the People who Brought You White Chicks." Well, not even close, but you get my drift.
Joblo recently had the first exclusive on the poster above and they are still rocking a giant size version of it.
Update: It turns out the first, "unofficial," poster was actually fanmade and never official. Thanks to "janni from nj" for the heads up.
Zodiac had its release pushed to January 19th, 2007.
