If you are a big movie buff who knows his/her way around the internet, then there is a good chance you may have been hearing little rumors about the sequel to Pirates
of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. According to the rumor, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) will be killed off by the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.
Why? To save money. But wait, it's only a rumor.
Turner Killed to Avoid Pirates 4
Just when you thought that killing off Jack Sparrow to set up a new plotline for At Worlds End was a little much, the 'Bloom out of Pirates' rumor takes it to a whole new level.
The exaggerated rumor, which it still is, claims that, if Disney was to go forward with a fourth Pirates installment, the studio would give Orlando Bloom the boot due to lack of interest from the actor and a way to save a boatload of money.
The only catch is how was the option to kick Bloom even plausible? Dead Man's Chest did over a billion at the box office; it is not like this franchise is hurting. As a matter of fact, losing Bloom would most likely turn off fans who have come to love the Pirates story and characters.
Fortunately for us, the rumor has been 'confirmed' as untrue. Disney reps have responded to the rumor by yelling, "Erroneous! Erroneous on both counts!"
Wait a sec, they don't even know if there will be a fourth Pirates installment! Talk about counting the chickens before they hatch!
