Only a few days after releasing the first set of assets for the upcoming thriller Perfume, Dreamworks has now poster the film's first trailer.
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Trailer
Jean-Baptiste Grenouille has used his unique talent for discerning the scents and smells that swirl around him to create the world's finest perfumes, but his talent masks his burden. An orphan from birth, Grenouille has always felt alone in the world and different from any other person. Determined to connect with others, Grenouille tries to capture the irresistible but elusive aroma of young womanhood, traveling far and delving deeper into the intricate science of perfume-making. As he becomes increasingly – and recklessly – passionate about his art, his obsession to create the world's most powerful fragrance takes a deadly turn.
Who knew a film with 'Perfume' in the title could look so good. The trailer supplies an interesting mix of beautiful cinematography, a story that (though violent) will make you chuckle, and some of our favorite actors sporting fancy wigs.
Though the synopsis for the film claims 'a deadly turn,' the trailer shows Jean-Baptiste on a serial killer-like rampage while trying to create his perfect scent. Maybe by the lady a drink first?
Another additional perk to be found in the trailer is hot redheads with Rachel Hurd-Wood as the film's centerpiece.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer opens to theatres on December 27th.
