Maggie Q
Though Maggie Q has recently made a date for the pan-Asian epic Three Kingdoms, she will also stick domestic while hanging with Jackman and McGregor; what a player!
Maggie Q for The Tourist
According to Variety, with only a brief window before she begins work on Fox's Live Free or Die Hard with Bruce Willis, Maggie Q has managed to fit in The Tourist. Q, short for Quigley, will have a supporting role to Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor.
Daniel Lee will direct with Sammo Hung on board as action choreographer.
Tourist tells the story of an accountant (McGregor) introduced to a mysterious sex club by his lawyer friend (Jackman). He soon becomes the prime suspect in a woman's disappearance. Other cast includes Robert "Toshi" Kar Yun Chan and Michelle Williams.
Marcel Langenegger will direct.
After Tourist and Die Hard, Maggie Q will move on to Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon. Her first role in a distant period film, Q has been required to learn to speak the historical Chinese language, ride a horse and play the pipa.
"I'm difficult to categorize ethnically and personality wise," Q said. "And just because I'm working in Hollywood these days doesn't mean that I've turned my back on Asia. I will go anywhere in the world where there is good material."
Maggie Q recently appeared next to Tom Cruise in M:I:III.
Stay tuned for updates.
