It looks like Diane Lane is growing a taste for the boutique studios. She recently appeared with Affleck in Focus Features' Hollywoodland and she now plans to join up with Sony Screen Gems.
Diane Lane for Untraceable
According to Variety, Screen Gems has picked up Diane Lane to topline their upcoming cyber-thriller Untraceable.
The script, written by Allison Burnett from an original screenplay by Robert Fyvolent and Mark R. Brinker, follows an FBI cybercop as she races against time to track down a ruthless online predator.
Gregory Hoblit will direct with Tom Roenbergy, Gary Lucchesi, Andy Cohen and Steven Pearl set to produce.
Hoblit, who jumps between television and film, recently wrapped Fracture, starring Anthony Hopkins, and Fallen, with Denzel Washington. He has received multiple Emmy awards for producing and directing NYPD Blue, L.A. Law and Hill Street Blue.
Filming for Untraceable is set to begin this February.
Diane Lane can still be seen in theatres with Affleck and Brody in Hollywoodland.
