Now that 1408 has wrapped, John
Cusack has immediately moved on to his next big thing. A thriller of his
own creation, the soon to be producer has already found his cast; and it
includes him.
Cusack, Duff, Cusack, Tomei for Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens
According to Variety,
John Cusack is starring with Hilary Duff, Joan Cusack and Marisa Tomei in
Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens, a dark political satire Cusack
co-wrote and will produce.
Josh Seftel will direct.
Cusack plays an assassin assigned to kill a Middle East oil minister. His
cover is that he's producing a big trade show that includes a wedding between
a local pop star and a politico, but complications ensue.
Cusack penned the script with Bulworth
co-writer Jeremy Pikser and Mark Leyner. Playing the role of scribe is not
a new gig for Cusack, thanks to his previous experience scripting films
such as Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity.
Filming for Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens begins this month
in Bulgaria.
