One of the greatest things to come out of Go -- besides the classic nude scene with William Fichtner -- was Timothy Olyphant. Playing the role of skinny drug dealer, Olyphant has upgraded his career to the likes of a young Porn King (Girl Next Door) and Seth "Montana" Bullock (HBO's Deadwood).
Timothy Olyphant for Live Free or Die Hard
According to THR,
Fox has picked up Timothy Olyphant and Mary Elizabeth Winstead to play key roles in the fourth Die Hard installment, Live Free or Die Hard.
For the upcoming installment, Bruce Willis is reprising his role as John McClane in the story of an attack on the U.S. computer infrastructure that begins to shut down the country. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every digital angle but never counts on the old-fashioned, "analog" McClane.
Olyphant will play Willis' nemesis, while Winstead will play Willis' daughter.
Small world: the original daughter to John McClane, played by Taylor Fry, was a friend of mine at UCSB.
Olyphant and Winstead join Maggie Q and Justin Long as the new editions on set.
Winstead next appears in Bobby. Timothy Olyphant, who you can see on HBO's Deadwood, is currently shooting an untitled Iraqi War drama and will next appear opposite Jennifer Garner in Catch and Release.
