Val Kilmer
Though we have recently been having Deja Vu of Val Kilmer all over the place thanks to Touchstone Pictures, the actor is hoping to keep things fresh with a whole slew of films coming our way through 2008 including a new indie drama.
Val Kilmer for A West Texas Children's Story
According to Variety,
Val Kilmer has joined the cast of '60s indie drama A West Texas Children's Story. Kilmer joins castmates Matthew Modine, Lara Flynnn Boyle, Anna Sophia Robb and Cayden Boyd.
Written and helmed by Brad Isaacs in his directorial debut, A West Texas Children's Story revolves around two precocious youngsters who embark on a cross-country trip in search of adventure and a better life.
It was hoped that somewhere along the way the group would find a beach volleyball court allowing Kilmer to sweat and flex his muscles; while listening to high-adrenaline music of course. Unfortunately for Kilmer, scenes like this could only be pulled off with Bruckheimer and the subtraction of ten years.
Polly Platt, Ryan Howe and Thom Mount are exec producing.
Kilmer will join a production in session, with filming currently underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Val Kilmer can next be seen with Denzel Washington in Deja Vu.
