Once Ferrell is done hearing the voice of an author in his head -- strange -- he will move on to a talking fly -- doubly strange.
Gilligan Helps Ferrell's Fly on a Wall
According to THR,
Will Ferrell's starring vehicle, Fly on a Wall, will get some help from scribe Vince Gilligan. Universal Pictures has picked up Gilligan for rewrite duties on the film's current script.
Fly on a Wall tells the story of an anti-social man who gets his life on track, discovering how to have a successful relationship and learning to truly believe in himself with the help of his best friend, a talking fly.
Neil Tolkin was the original writer.
Gilligan's credits include The X-Files, Home Fries, and rewrite work on Tonight, He Comes. The updated script for Tonight is supposedly what attracted Will Smith to star in the superhero project.
Will Ferrell is currently only working on one film, Blades of Glory, at the moment and is expected to begin building up his to-do list.
