George Clooney
"Dismiss your vows, your feigned tears, your flattery, for where a heart is hard, they make no battery..." Mrs. Rexroth, do you know those lines?
Objection, your honor. Poetry recitation.
Though the Coen Brothers have found
it to be a hit or miss on finding fans for their George Clooney collaborations, they have decided to move forward with a third.
Clooney for Coen Bros' Burn After Reading
According to Production Weekly,
George Clooney will reunite with the Joel and Ethan Coen on Burn After Reading, the groups third collaboration.
The relationship between the trio kicked off with O Brother, Where Art Thou and culminated in the very under appreciated Intolerable Cruelty.
I have attempted (on multiple occassions) to screen Cruelty for friends with hit or miss success. How can one pass up the quick and witty dialogue or Billy Bob Thornton's cameo appearance?
Hopefully the Coen Bros will find a better success rate with this third go.
The film is loosely based on the novel Burn Before Reading: Presidents, CIA Directors, and Secret Intelligence, written by ex- director of CIA Admiral Stansfield Turner.
The contemporary East Coast caper, is about a C.I.A. guy who’s writing a book and he loses the disc. Clooney’s character is not the C.I.A. guy, but a guy that goes around killing people. Why? Uhh, they already burned that part of the script.
