Now that Eric Bana's break of 2006 is coming to a close the actor has begun to work on what's next for 2007. And this time it does include new projects.
Bana, Howard for Factor X
According to THR,
Eric Bana and Terrence Howard have been picked up to star in Factor X, a directing vehicle for Ridley Scott.
Written by Gregory Allen Howard, Factor X will tell the true tale of how the BTK killer was captured. The serial killer known as BTK murdered people in and around Wichita, Kan., from 1974-91 and was finally caught in 2005, turning out to be a mild-mannered leader at a local church. The acronym described his modus operandi, which was to bind, torture and kill.
Factor X gets its title from what the killer described in taunting letters to the police as his motive for murder. Terrence Howard will play the black counterterrorism expert from Washington who teamed up with a Wichita police detective (Bana) to track down the killer.
Factor X comes as somewhat of a change for scribe Gregory Allen Howard. Known for real-life inspirational sports dramas such as Remember the Titans and Ali, Howard was turned on to the project after meeting counterterrorism expert Stanley Campbell at a dinner party. It took a year for Howard to get life rights from Campbell's story.
New Line had floated the project on the market until Bana and Howard jumped on board.
