Impressive, most impressive. The cast for the upcoming family fantasy Inkheart has grown from Bettany and Fraser to Mirren, Serkis, Gavron and Guillory.
Mirren, Serkis, Favron and Guillory for Inkheart
Can't help but dig the recent cast addition to Inkheart. To start, it is nice to see Andy Serkis in more roles that don't put him behind layers of CG imagery. The actor has slowly been showing his face with classic characters in both King Kong and The Prestige.
According to Variety, New Line Cinema has picked up a slew of new castmembers including Helen Mirren, Andy Serkis, Rafi Gavron and Sienna Guillory.
Mirren recently rocked her part in The Queen and should work as a strong addition to the cast. Guillory (picture), who can be seen shortly as Arya in Eragon, is smoking hot and, if her eye candy doesn't cut it, her fantastical look should.
The four new additions join Brendan Fraser, Paul Bettany and Jim Broadbent in the tale of a father who brings characters from books to life by reading stories aloud to his daughter.
When a villainous ruler and his band of rogues from a children's fable kidnap the man, his daughter and her friends, both real and imaginary, must rescue him.
Mirren will portray the book collector Elinor Loredan while Serkis will play the villain Capricorn
Iain Softley will direct Inkheart in what New Line Cinema hopes to be the beginning of a new franchise.
Filming begins next month in Italy before moving to London.
