Indie films seem to be the hot ticket of late with tons of major stars jumping on board one or more. The two latest additions are Heather Graham and Dylan McDermott, who plan to take us back to the 1960s.
Graham, McDermott for A West Texas Children's Story
According to THR,
Heather Graham and Dylan McDermott have joined the cast of Brad Isaacs' 1960s period drama A West Texas Children's Story.
So why West Texas? According to the film's plot, that's where the child abuse is.
The indie film tells the story of two 12-year-olds who embark on an adventure to improve their lives after living with abusive parents. AnnaSophia Robb (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Cayden Boyd (X-Men: The Last Stand) play the children.
AnnaSophia Robb? This little blondie has been going coochoo for indie lately with films such as Ferris Wheel with Charlize Theron.
Graham and McDermott play the girl's beatnik aunt and uncle who teach the children about their alternative lifestyle. Lara Flynn Boyle and Matthew Modine play the boy's parents.
As a little icing on the cake, Val Kilmer will also have a part in this film.
Texas is based off an original screenplay by Isaacs, who will also be making his directorial debut.
A West Texas Children's Story is currently filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It is still unknown if Graham will be showing off her breasts in this film, but we are taking bets.
