Since Clint Eastwood has found repeat success not only in front but behind the camera, it was only a matter of time before his daughter, Alison, would take a shot at the director's chair. Fortunately for her, she has already got a bit of talent looking to come aboard.
Eastwood to Direct Rails and Ties
According to THR,
Alison Eastwood is looking to make her directorial debut with the film Rails and Ties.
Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden are currently in negotiations to star.
Clint will be supporting his daughter by having his Malpaso Prods. behind the production. Rob Lorenz will produce alongside Peer Oppenheimer and Barrett Stuart.
Rails and Ties tells of the physical, emotional and psychological collision of two families that is set in motion when a suicidal mother parks her car, with her 9-year old son inside, on a railroad crossing and awaits the arrival of a speeding train. Bacon will play the train engineer, while Harden will be his wife.
Scribe Micky Levy wrote the script.
Harden has a little bit of Eastwood experience with her role in Mystic River and can soon be seen in two upcoming thrillers: David Goyer's The Invisible and Karen Moncrieff's The Dead Girl.
Kevin Bacon also has previous experience with both Clint Eastwood and Harden thanks to Mystic River.
Production on Rails and Ties is expected to begin early 2007 in Los Angeles.
