Mysterio
It is no secret that Sam Raimi sticks close to long time co-worker Bruce Campbell. The two have been hanging out since the days of The Evil Dead; something that makes them as close as you can get to childhood friends.
Thanks to their friendship, Campbell has had access to cameo roles in both Spider-Man installments -- fight announcer in Spider-Man and theatre usher in Spider-Man 2 -- with rumors claiming that some day he may become a villain in the franchise.
Will Spider-Man 3 be that film?
Bruce Campbell is Mysterio?
Do you hear that? That is the sound of two rumors colliding together. Back in July it was scooped that there would be four villains in Spider-Man 3, when we originally expected three. The scoop claimed that the fourth villain would be Mysterio.
Now all we have to do is take that rumor, combine it with the Bruce Campbell one, and out pops the latest from filmick, who are now claiming that Bruce Campbell's cameo role in Spider-Man 3 will be that of Quentin Beck. Though this idea was suggested before, the site seems to have more information on the part.
Peter Parker finds out about a Spider-Man movie being made and goes to the set to check it out. Avi Arad and Sam Raimi have cameos as the producer and director. Quentin Beck is the movie's special FX guy.
They go on to mention that the role is a brief cameo at best; so can we even count that as a 'fourth villain'?
