During the fourth game of the World Series Fox unleashed
an extended TV spot for Eragon
that gave competition to the recent, or should I say coolest, trailer, Trailer
I. In both cases, each new edition is pretty sweet.
Extended Eragon TV Spot
It looks like Fox has found a formula in their
trailers and TV spots for Eragon. Kick them off with fluid
music, give a slow build up, and then finish with a finale worth remembering;
meaning high-adrenaline music and fast-paced cuts.
The extended TV trailer features new music, new clips and, like the trailer,
tons of dragon. It also just occurred to me that the scene with the dragon
opening its wings on the hilltop in front of what looks to be a glass stone
is actually the grave site for... what, you thought I was going to say?
Another detail that has become apparent is that Arya is not going to be
as unconscious as she was in the book. The whole point Eragon had to race
to the Varden in the first place was to save the hottie elf from a mysterious
poison. Judging by the trailers it looks like she will be wide awake the
entire trip. Which works actually, considering every fantasy could use a
little eye candy.
The good people over at Shurtugal were able to compress the clip into better
formats than the flash version above:
