Lindsay Lohan for The Best Time of Our Lives
According to Variety, Lindsay Lohan will be joining Keira Knightley in The Best Time of Our Lives.
The film is based on the true story of the relationships among Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, his wife Caitlin (Lohan), his childhood friend Vera Phillips (Knightley) and her eventual husband, William Killick. It centers on the curious incident in which Phillips and Killick opened fire on the Thomas home with a machine gun and a hand grenade. The characters were in their 20s at the time of the episode.
The film will explore the events that led up to the incident and its effect on the Thomas family.
The screenplay was written by Knightley's mother, Sharman Macdonald, and will be directed by John Maybury (The Jacket).
Lohan next stars in The Weinstein Co.'s Bobby.
Knightley has previous experience with Maybury from the set of The Jacket where she co-starred with Adrien Brody.
