'Potterfan' has been bugging us the past couple days with small, new updates for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and there were a couple that caught our attention.
All those who have read the Potter books know they outgrow the length of the Bible by Book V. Comparing Sorcerer's Stone and OotP is night and day. So what kind of running time can we expect from the latest installment?
Hopefully long.
Order of the Phoenix Running Time
While talking with Empire magazine, David Yates goes on to mention how much film it takes to adapt Order of the Phoenix to the bigscreen. According to Yates, the current running time of the film is "probably over three hours." Does that mean we can expect the longest Potter film to date?
"... So I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit."
A running time near 2:15 for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Why don't we just cut out Potter? The running time seems awfully short for a book/story of this length. I am curious how many side stories have entered the editing grave with Dobby and Winky.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens to theatres on July 13th, 2007.
