Jessica Simpson is hoping to out-due Melanie Griffith's classic Working Girl. If all else fails, Simpson does have a few extra sexy-kudos for the role.
Jessica Simpson for Blonde Ambition
According to MTV,
Luke Wilson and Jessica Simpson have been picked up to co-star in Blonde Ambition, a loose remake of Working Girl. I guess any film with Jessica Simpson on the roster shouldn't have 'Working' in the title.
"It's going to be Jessica Simpson's next film," said producer (and former "Malcolm in the Middle" star) Justin Berfield. "It's basically about a young woman's journey into the corporate empire. She starts at the bottom and works her way to the top."
The film will serve as Simpson's first leading role, a character that landed Griffith an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Could Jessica pull off the same stunt? Not if she lands lines to the likes of Dukes of Hazzard she won't.
To add a little cheese factor to the film, Andy Dick is in discussions to play an "evil" secretary.
Production on Blonde Ambition begins November 27th with a hopeful summer release.
