Slither Review

Slither
Slither was a tough sell because
it was a horror comedy. Funny people don’t like to be scared and scary
people don’t like to laugh. It’s just a thing. But for those
of us who straddle both worlds, the Slither DVD has plenty
of extras to make us happy.
DVD Review: Slither
The most notable is a Lloyd Kaufman video diary. Troma fans know Lloyd and
his style of turning his handheld camera on himself. What’s surprising
is how sincere this piece is. He doesn’t mock anything. He’s
proud of James Gunn and bemused by the size of his trailer for a one-line
cameo.
A tour of the set is basically Nathan Fillion hosting the EPK. It’s
funnier than most EPKs because it’s Fillion and the rest of the cast
are fun too. It’s all inside jokes but that’s the right tone
for this.
“Who is Bill Pardy” is more ripping on Nathan Fillion. And really,
can you ever have too much ripping on Nathan Fillion?
Stay tuned for updates.
