Fast Food Nation
Fox Searchlight is trying something new with their marketing of Fast Food Nation. Instead of showing clips from the actual film, Fox has released two flash videos that show all what goes in to making your burger at your favorite fast food chain.
Fast Food Nation Clips
Two flash videos are now available in 'support' of Fast Food Nation. If you are a fan of fast food burgers or have a week stomach, you may not want to watch either of them. But if you are up for a few kicks and don't mind having your burger-appetite slightly ruined, then feel free to check them both out.
The Meatrix II 1/2
Taking the fast out of fast food. The action continues in The Meatrix II ½ (www.moremeatrix.com) as our heroes Moopheus, Leo and Chickity learn firsthand about the problems with meat processing. Produced by Sustainable Table (www.sustainabletable.org) and Free Range Studios (www.freerangestudios.com) for Participant Productions and their Fast Food Nation social action campaign (www.participate.net/fastfoodnation).
Backwards Hamburger
Do you want lies with that? Take a backwards look at how your fast food burger is processed from eating it in your car to the meat packaging plant to the actual cow. Produced by Free Range Studios (www.freerangestudios.com) for Participant Productions and their Fast Food Nation social action campaign (www.participate.net/fastfoodnation). Visit http://www.backwardshamburger.com to watch the video, send it to a friend, and find out how you can get involved in the fight against fast food.
I typically do not eat hamburgers when I get fast food so these videos really aren't exactly targeted at me and, if they were, I would still order a burger any time I felt like it. Manure, that just happens to taste delicious; kind of like fertilizing your self, right?
Fast Food Nation opens to theatres on November 17th.
