Casino Royale
Though no one wants to count the Bond ladies before
they get laid, Casino
Royale is looking to go beyond our most optimistic expectations.
Craig haters have already been asked to put a sock in it with the recent
slew of reports claiming Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Connery. We
never had any doubt here at CanMag, but others most definitely did. He's
freakin' Daniel Craig!
To put a little more lubricant on the Bondsicle, RottenTomatoes
is starting Casino Royale off with a 100% rating; something
that makes the film so fresh we can easily assume the film won't even come
close to rotten with opening day reviews.
The only thing that has been missing from the film is official clips and,
with only a week to go, Columbia Pictures has finally delivered an Aston
Martin full of them.
Movie Clips: Casino Royale
Movies
has received ten, count 'em, ten new clips for Casino Royale.
The clips should give you an overall gist of the film with each one showing
quite the range of action, dialogue and drama in this new Bond
installment. That or you might be talked into buying something after watching
a video ad before each clip. Sucks a bit, but at least they are short.
The only thing that came off somewhat 'ehh' to
me was Mads Mikkelsen as the villain. It wasn't necessarily his acting or
his look, but his voice. I am probably just being too critical, especially
since I have yet to hear of a report that criticizes his role in the film.
What does make up for it, however, is the very impressive dialogue delivered
by Craig, aka Bond.
