I really wanted to give this movie a break. Jaleel White showed range in all the alter egos of Steve Urkel. But he really should have done a drama. How could he think this is funny?

DVD Review: Who Made The Potatoe Salad?

The whole joke is essentially Meet the Parents with a militant Black Panther and other crooks. All they do is swear and use the N word. I’m really not impressed.

To add insult, the film opens with White as a bumbling cop. He’s just falling all over himself. It’s not a clever character, just embarrassing.

Sorry, Jaleel. I’m rooting for you but you’ve got to demand that your films get a theatrical release. When they aim for DVD, they just don’t try that hard.

Stay tuned for updates.
