Harry Potter Book 7 Advertisement
It looks like we are going for the holy trinity
of Potter updates this week. Though we had expected our
next update to be the teaser trailer for Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it takes no reminding
that Book 7 is also in development and, if predictions are correct, could
be coming the same month as the theatrical release of the fifth Potter
installment.
Though Scholastic has not confirmed a July 2007 release, they have got to
be counting on JK Rowling finishing the book sooner than later. It just
so happens that Barnes & Noble is counting on it as well.

We have just been alerted by 'Potterdom', who usually
goes by the name 'Potterfan', that Barnes & Noble is preparing to release
banner ads around their stores for Harry Potter Book 7. The good
people over at HPANA
got the details and before you even ask, no, they do not give a title to
the book; but do offer one heck of a discount.
Just to let you know, I had the joy of opening the holiday sign packages
at the Barnes and Noble I work at today to discover signs for the seventh
book. They're vague and I don't know an exact date, but it means that the
company big wigs probably know a date on which to expect more information.
So, if nothing else, it's a sign that good news should be headed our way
soon. As you can see from the attached photo, the book will be sold at 40%
off list price for those who pre-order. Just thought I'd send it along.
Feel free to post the photo if you'd like. I know it's not really amazing
news but I figured, hey, it's something.
Barnes & Noble know something we don't? Even
if they knew of a window of release, I would assume Scholastic would have
announced something by now. But then again, this is JK Rowling we are talking
about. Very elusive this one.
We are still hoping Harry Potter Book 7 gets released on 7-7-07.
