Now done with Beerfest, Broken Lizard is working on their next big comedy including a new spec script, Funny Fat Guy, that was recently picked up by Broken Lizard's new BFF, Warner Bros. Anybody else notice how many commas I have used already? Damn.
Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme wrote the script, with the Heffernan set to topline the comedy.
Funny Fat Guy revolves around the stereotypical funny fat man who is the life of the party and everyone's mascot. Sick of his lovelorn status, he decides to transform himself, Eliza Doolittle-style.
Heffernan has been the popular guy with Warner Bros and their first-look pact. Besides Fat, the studio has also recently bought Heffernan's The Baby Maker, which Broken Lizard will produce.
Though the small production company hasn't found a hit up to par with Super Troopers, this lizard is far from broken. Besides the two films mentioned, Broken Lizard has also set up films including Nutcracker, Ambulance Chasers and Take My Wife with Warner Bros and Pony Bush with Dimension.
