Love and Virtue Get's Cast
John Malkovich is just one of a list that includes Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Peter O'Toole, Damian Lewis, Saffron Burrows and Virginie Ledoyen, who have joined up with director Raoul Ruiz for the period epic Love and Virtue.
Based around the battles that raged within King Charlemagne's empire, the film tells the story of knight in King Charlemagne's court who falls for Viginie Ledoyen's character. The knight will be played by Damian Lewis. Malkovich and Madsen play barbarian marauders. Stephen Dillane (The Hours) plays Charlemagne, the first ruler of a united Western Europe since the fall of the Roman Empire.
Written by Mia Sperber and Stefano Pratesi, Love and Viture is based on the epic poems The Song of Roland and Orlando Innamorato.
Other recent cast additions include Leonor Varela , Vincent Perez , Cristian de la Fuente , Anna Massey and child thesps Alexa Rey and Boo Boo Stewart.
The film is scheduled to begin filming March 21st in Belgium, Lexembourg and then London.
