Casino Royale
Even with a whole slew of films being released for the Thanksgiving weekend, last week's Casino Royale is looking to be the film to beat.
Casino Royale Top Holiday Film
The good people over at MovieFone have recently given their "Must See Top 11" for this holiday weekend and Casino Royale comes in at number one. Not really too much of a surprise, though Deja Vu could thrill up some surprising numbers along with the return of Warner Bros' Happy Feet. Here is a preview of the list:
What does come as a surprise is the list does not include the only new holiday comedy, Deck the Halls, and The Fountain. After all the hype built around the Darren Aronofsky film at the various film festivals, I have to admit that I am shocked to not see it appear on this list. Is a film about death too depressing for the holidays?
For those of you not looking to leave your homes this holiday weekend -- how boring -- Moviefone also has a Top 11 list for holiday flicks you can watch at home. I find it ironic that they list Love Actually when I am currently listening to the film's soundtrack after hearing a part of the score on the Miss Potter trailer yesterday.
It's a Wonderful Life obviously got the top spot, but isn't there anybody burned out on this film yet?
By the end of the weekend we may just see a repeat battle between Casino Royale and Happy Feet. With strong reviews and kids heading to the theatres, expect these two to reclaim the top spots.
