With November now winding down, the next small-but-big
film in line to deliver something truly original will be Guillermo del Toro's
Pan's Labyrinth.
Pan's Labyrinth Clips
Pan's Labyrinth is a fanciful and chilling story
set against the backdrop of a fascist regime in 1944 rural Spain. The film
centers on Ofelia, a lonely and dreamy child living with her mother and
adoptive father; a military officer tasked with ridding the area of rebels.
In her loneliness, Ofelia creates a world filled with fantastical creatures
and secret destinies. With post-war repression at its height, Ofelia must
come to terms with her world through a fable of her own creation.
The good people over at BloodyDisgusting
have posted two new extended clips from Pan's Labyrinth
that are long enough to give you a solid example of what to expect from
the upcoming foreign film. Unless you have been living underneath a rock
for the past six months, you already know that this film has been kicking
ass at early screenings and will be released with English subtitles in the
States.
