More Corpses
Musician/face painter/director Rob Zombie wasn't
quite satisfied with only making one horror-flick-of-old movie, so guess
what everyone, more corpses. The Devil's Rejects will be the sequel
to Zombies last extremely long music video…no no I am sorry, movie-- The
House of 1000 Corpses.
Intro to The Devil's REjects
This horrifying horror is scheduled to be out sometime in the spring and
frankly, I can wait for this one. I was not entertained with the first;
mainly because it felt like I was watching a music video-fast cuts, short
scenes and lots of over acting. But who know, maybe Zombie 'cut his teeth"
with House and is now capable of making an entertaining, 70's style,
slasher flick.
For those of you who did like this gruesome 'music video', or for those of you who could at least look past it similarity to MTV, here it is, down and dirty.
Directed by the prolific Rob Zombie, The Devil's Rejects is the
sequel to 2003's House of 1000 Corpses, and picks up several weeks
after House left off. This time, the clash revolves around a tribe of violent
lunatics known as the "Devil's Rejects" and the house's equally violent
and decidedly valueless family members of the original film.
Amidst the war between the rejects and the residents, a SWAT team is sent
and sets the infamous house ablaze after learning of the horrific events
of its past. Unfortunately, in addition to creating a full-fledged media
circus, this leaves the sociopath housemates and their bloodthirsty assailants
nowhere to go but out into the world, and initiates a deadly road trip.
The Devil's Rejects features Natasha Lyonne, Steve Railsback, Bill
Moseley, Sid Haig, Sheri Moon, and Karen Black, among other cult horror
regulars. -- Tracie Cooper
