Starship Troopers
Let's face it, though somewhat chintzy, Starship Troopers was a solid high school sci-fi adventure. It had realistic oversized potato bugs, guns, starships and, best of all, boobies.
"Nailed it!"
When the film ended I figured we were in store for a kickass sequel that featured even heavier weaponry. Instead we got something that went straight to video and, yes, did feature some nice nude moments. Or was that the other film? Hard to say, I was flipping back and forth between HBO East and West.
Anywho, it looks like Sony is preparing to correct their ways and deliver a real sequel to Starship Troopers that will also serve as the return of Casper Van Dien. Get the clippers out, somebody needs to shave his chest again!
Neumeier Claims Another Starship Troopers Sequel
Clint over at Moviehole has alerted us that he has spoke to his 'old bud' Ed Neumeier, who seems to think that Sony is ready to greenlight Starship Troopers 3.
Was just having a chinwag to my old bud, Ed Neumeier, who says Sony are about push the greenlight on his Starship Troopers 3.
“Looks like - fingers crossed - Sony is moving forward”, Neumeier, who will write & direct the film, tells Moviehole. “Plans are afoot to shoot next year. Casper Van Dien will be back as Colonel John Rico. There'll be a new bug or two. Also draft riots. Religion makes a comeback. And the Federation has a new weapon.”
Exciting stuff. More on this beast as it gets its teeth.
