Nicole Kidman, looking good with blonde hair
One of the films that has laid under the radar
for a bit is The
Interpreter, starring Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman. I guess
it has been understandable [till now], considering the thriller will not
be released until April 22nd. But, once the eight weeks to go date approaches,
I would hope Universal to turn on a few marketing tools. And so they have,
a little early too.
International Interpreter Trailer
After viewing the first Interpreter trailer, I didn't think too
much of the film. It looked like an OK thriller with a little too much drama
[Penn seems to carry a sack of drama on his shoulders]. However, it seems
Universal has reworked their marketing approach to The Interpreter and have
an international trailer that makes the film look more what it should be--
a high suspense thriller with some twists along the way.
The Interpreter is about U.N. interpreter Silvia Broome [Nicole Kidman],
who inadvertently overhears a death threat against an African head of state
scheduled to address the United Nation's General Assembly. Realizing she's
become a target of the assassins as well, Silvia's desperate to thwart the
plot...if only she can survive long enough to get someone to believe her.
