Dyllan Christopher raises some hell in Unaccompanied Minors as a teenager snowed in at an airport. As he unites with other stranded kids to find some fun to be had on Christmas Eve, he finds love and adventure with the others. In real life, airports have never been so exciting.

Interview: Dyllan Christopher on Unaccompanied Minors

"Luckily all my airport experiences have been fairly calm," Christopher said. "I'm hoping if anything does happen that security would be a little bit more focused than security in the movie."

There was fun to be had on the set too. In between takes, all the kids would play tag. The winner was actually one of the adolescent actors. "I think Dominique [Saldana], my little sister. She had so much energy. She could run for like an hour and we couldn't catch her, so I think she won at tag. We just had so much fun. Everybody was having a blast. They brought us in a week early so we could all get to know each other and that really helped the chemistry on and off set and really made for a much more fun experience."

For all that bonding, there was a harsh separation once filming wrapped. The reunion only came at the press screening for the film. "This is the first time we'd actually all been together again was last night and it was really kind of interesting to see how everybody's gotten a little older and everybody's changed. And seeing it, having us all together watching what we've done for the three months finally pull together was such a cool experience."

The film calls upon Christopher to pick up a guitar in the abandoned luggage lounge and provide some entertainment to the group. That was all acting. "I play a mean air guitar. That was a blast. That was a fun scene to film. Again, Paul [Feig], our director, is a firm believer in the power of improvisation. So many scenes in there were just thought up on the spot. Like we saw the prop of the guitar and Paul was thinking, 'Oh, wouldn't that be awesome if he just takes it out and starts air guitaring?' And tried to find a song that would go to it and stuff, and I'm like, 'Dude, yeah, that would be awesome.' It all spawned from that."

Unaccompanied Minors opens to theatres on December 8th.
