George Clooney
George Clooney just seems to have the magic touch these days. Just two weeks after he and his Smoke House Productions partner, Grant Heslov decided to produce White Jazz along with Warner Independent Pictures, the two studios are teaming up again. The studios have just purchased the screen rights to John Grisham’s nonfiction manuscript, “The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town."
Clooney to Produce The Innocent Man
“Innocent Man” is the true story of the court room debacle that sent Ron Williamson to death row in Oklahoma for 11 years. But unlike the OJ-courtroom disaster, Williamson actually didn’t commit the murders. It turned out that the one eyewitness that the prosecution had was the murderer. Ain’t that some shit?
If the movie does actually get made, Grisham will earn a chump change-ish seven figures. God, when is this guy going to get one of his books made into a movie?!
