Jason Lee’s Golden Globe nomination apparently has enough clout to warrant an article from us about his new film. The star and producer of the hit show on NBC, “My Name is Earl” will also star in and produce the comedy Krater from Warner Brothers Pictures.
Jason Lee For Krater
Lee might be able to use knowledge from his roll as a rockstar in Almost Famous since Krater revolves around a late 70’s rock band, Krater, with Lee as it’s leader who can’t handle the tremendous success after they hire a new lead singer who secretly has dreams of Broadway.
Set in the late 1970s and early '80s, the story follows the leader (Lee) of a rock band known as Krater who struggles with massive success after hiring a new lead singer with hidden Broadway ambitions. The project is based on an idea that Lee and Martin brought to the writer.
Scott M. Martin was the associate producer on Almost Famous and is teaming up with Lee to produce Krater. They hope to start filming in May of 2007.
