We have a couple new updates for Spider-Man 3 including a new official still from the movie and, here it comes, the first rumor on the film's possible ending.

Let's start this report on a lighter note with another official still for Spider-Man 3 that has appeared over at Movie-infos.

Now onto the spoilerific ending of Spider-Man 3. Let me just say this -- people are going to die (if this rumor is true of course). The good people over at ComicBookMovie have received a scoop that supposedly comes from an extra on set of Spider-Man 3. Person seems to think some important characters are going to die. (highlight to read, analysis included)
As a an extra in Spider-Man 3 I can hereby reveal the ending. Spider-Man kills Harry and Venom murders Mary Jane.
Our analysis: If this rumor is true, it would seem that Raimi likes switching around the original Spidy story from the comic books. Gwen Stacy should have died on the bridge against the Green Goblin in the first film, and it looks like she is dodging another bullet. If characters are to die, this is the way we would have expected it:
Harry will die, because he dies in the comics.
Gwen Stacy SHOULD die, as her death in the comics bring Mary Jane and Peter closer together.
Mary Jane should NOT die, as she NEVER does so in the comics.
Because the scoop mentions that Mary Jane dies, we cannot say it is valid. Unless, of course, Sam Raimi has lost his freakin' mind.
