For Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Disney plans to
have the story encounter the Carib Indians on the Dominica Island. According
to the current Carib Chief Charles Williams, the next Pirates will
convey the Carib Indians as cannibalistic ["a strong element of cannibalism
in the script which cannot be removed"].
Charles Williams claims that this story of his group was entirely made up
by European conquerors who wanted to label the Indians as savages. The only
problem with his story is that other Carib Indians are not fully supporting
his rationalization.
Even though this argument may remain, even through the release of the next
Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney still plans on shooting the film
in Dominica beginning this April.
And there will still be hundreds of Dominican's playing the role as extras.
