Taking a cue from Will Smith's Pursuit of Happyness, Julia Roberts is looking for her own Happiness, but will spell hers properly with an 'i'.
Julia Roberts For Happiness Sold Separately
Fox Searchlight is in talks to distribute the adaptation of Lolly Winston's bestselling novel, Happiness Sold Separately. The project already has Julia Roberts onboard to produce and possibly star.
Scott Coffey will direct and adapt.
The film will tell the tale of a suburban wife and her withdrawal from her husband as he begins an affair with the nutritionist at their gym.
Coffey had this to say on Roberts taking a part in the film: "I couldn't get Julia out of my head when I was reading Lolly's book. Elinor is such a strong, complicated woman, and bringing her to the screen required Julia's integrity, empathy, humor and legs."
Julia Roberts is currently busy on set of Universal's Charlie Wilson's War. You can hear the actress this week as a miraculous spider in Charlotte's Web.
