Matthew Perry Talks About the Golden Globe Nominations

Matthew Perry was one of three celebrities announcing the Golden Globe nominations the morning of December 14. He presented his first batch just after hearing he had received a nomination for his made for television movie, The Ron Clark Story, so he greeted the crowd with, "Good morning, I love you all."

After the announcements, Perry said he was going to call Clark to tell him the good news, and expressed his own gratitude. "I'm happy," he said. "The Ron Clark Story was a really interesting movie and it was an interesting challenge for me to do it and it's nice to be recognized in a drama so that's nice."

Even though he had to wake up at five in the morning to get it. "It is very nice to get a nomination early in the morning, midday, evening."



Perry's TV show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip also received one nomination, for Sarah Paulson as Best Supporting Actress in a series, mini-series or motion picture made for television. "I'm thrilled for Sarah. She's going to be thrilled. She's going to be really, really happy. And she deserved it."

The Golden Globe Awards will air on January 15.
