When Universal Pictures acquired Alpha Dog off of New Line we were given a small preview of an updated poster for the film. Now, months later, here is that poster.
Movie Poster: Alpha Dog
Directed by Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook), Alpha
Dog is the story of a young drug dealer named Johnny Truelove along
with his friend Frankie who kidnap Zack Mazursky, the younger brother of
a guy who has unpaid debts with Johnny and his crew. Though Zack is a mark,
he forgets that he has been taken prisoner due to new friends, drinking
and girls. Even though he has multiple opportunities to run, Zack remains
under the custody of Johnny. Unfortunately, Zack does not know the fatal
conclusion that awaits him.
Alpha Dog
While the first poster, the New Line poster, for Alpha Dog sent the message, this updated version is all about namedropping. Can't blame the studio considering how many delays this film has had, and it is nice to see Willis, Stone, Hirsch and Timberlake all on the same poster together.
Alpha Dog now has a release date set for January
12th, 2007.
