Silver Surfer Shows Up for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver
Surfer
Here is the report on the character from USA Today:
With computer-generated imagery techniques similar to those used to
create Gollum in The Lord of the Rings, the slippery Surfer, voiced by Doug
Jones, "will look somewhere between gun metal and fluid metallics so
you can see the body motion, the breathing, the muscle tone, the mood,"
says Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad.
The Surfer's mood is key to the story. After striking a deal with the evil
Galactus to save his planet, the once-human Surfer wreaks havoc throughout
the cosmos. "He is a highly emotional being, trapped inside fluid metal,"
Arad says.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
With the teaser trailer for FF2 due out (in theaters) today,
a couple trailer descriptions have appeared online. 'Atticus' at the SHH
boards had this to say:
There's a flash in the sky, and Reed looks over at Johnny who replies,
"C'mon, I just bought this!" (Referring to his tux) He rolls his
eyes and leaps over the edge of the building yelling, "Flame On!"
What follows is an amazing chase sequence between Surfer and Torch through
a tunnel. At one point the Surfer passes THROUGH a subway bus and the Torch
fx really look excellent as he flies through the very narrow gap between
vehicles.
Get ready for the arrival of the trailer online.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer opens to theatres
on June 15th, 2007.
