With Brad Bird's The
Incredibles winning an Oscar for best animated film this
year, it seemed no question whether Brad Bird would be game for a sequel.
Well, ComingSoon.Net was able to sit down with the animated guru himself
and get him to say a few comments.
Brad Bird on Incredibles Sequel
The first question to obviously be asked was Bird's feelings on an The
Incredibles sequel. Here is what he had to say:
If I had an idea that I felt was as good and
better than the one we did, you don't just want to repeat yourself. You
want to take it in a new direction. If I could find something as good as
'Toy Story 2' was to 'Toy Story', I would love to return to the world. But
I think it's also about assembling the original team and respecting the
audience and all of that. I think if those things can happen, I love the
characters and I love the world and I'd love to do more with them.
I greatly enjoyed The Incredibles [read
review] and hope that Brad Bird becomes willing to re-assemble all the
old crew. However, we are only a couple weeks away from having The Incredibles
come to our homes in DVD. To read more questions asked to Brad Bird, go
