Wonder Woman Comes Home to DVD Again
Today (Tues. March 1st) marks the DVD release of the complete second season
of Wonder Woman, a show of that challenged the television genre
of superhero by characterizing the superhero as a beautiful and capable
woman, and finding success with it as well.
Wonder Woman leaps past the WWII years of the first season and
dances into the disco decade to take on terrorists of all kinds from across
the globe. The success of the second season was that Wonder Woman didn't
just pick up where she left off she entered a new decade. While dancing
into the disco years, she finds herself among crime dweller's using computers
and nuclear weapons in their world take over attempts.
This sexy crime fighter leaves mutineers and crime terrorist trembling in
her wake for 21 episodes. This DVD release also includes a Wonder Woman
Documentary, which examines the transfer from comic book to television screen.
