Will Storm return?
Nobody wants to say it, but the pre-production
of X-Men 3
is in disarray. Since Singer left to pursue a career with Superman,
20th Century Fox has been digging to find a new director, with little success
at the moment. We also have issues of main characters not returning to the
film; especially Halle Berry as Storm. Well, the New
York Post has caught up to Halle Berry and got her to say a few words
about her involvement, or lack thereof, in the latest X-Men sequel.
Halle Berry on X-Men
Halle Berry has made this complaint since day one... but at least she didn't
get a Razzie award. According to Halle, playing the role of Storm is a waste
of time for her, considering that the character gets very little of the
very competitive screen time. Obviously, when you have around 14 main characters
for a movie this is bound to happen. The new writer for X-Men 3
[read here], Zak Penn, has
announced that his goal in the next script will be to figure out a way to
balance the screen time of all characters. Obviously, Logan/Wolverine [Hugh
Jackman] will probably have the majority of screen time.

Here is some of what Halle Berry had to say to the New York Post about coming
back to X-Men 3.
Storm has been a little shortchanged... If we go back and do one more, which we're all in talks of doing, it will be paramount that Storm rise up and be the true warrior and woman that she is in the comic book, which was why I got involved in the first place...
Update: It has been confirmed that Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Famke Janssen, Alan Cumming and Daniel Cudmore will be back for X3.
