Star Wars may be coming to your cable box.
For all the hype behind the rumor of a secret Star
Wars television series that could feature Kevin Smith to direct, I
am surprised by the little amount of news about Lucas confirming that the
rumor is somewhat true.
Lucas Confirms Star Wars Series Rumor
Will Keck, from USA Today, was able to catch up
with George Lucas and get him to share some input on the rumor about a Star
Wars television series. The television series rumor has been going
for some time now, and most acted like the idea would be kept top secret
up until the release of Revenge
of the Sith. Well, it seems like Lucas could not keep
this secret to himself anymore, and easily spilled the rumor during the
Oscars to Will Keck.
According to George Lucas, the Star Wars television
series is definitely in motion [where does Lucas find the time?] and that
the plot will fill in the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A
New Hope.
The show will spend more emphasis on story and
mythology, rather than on special effects and mind-blowing stunts. All of
which is fine by me.
