Is this what General Grevious would look like in 3d?
I got two nice bits of Star Wars news
for you. While one is about Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith, the other piece of news is all
about the entire Star Wars saga in general. So lets begin.
Star Wars in 3D
When I first heard this news my first impression
was that it was only an attempt by 20th Century Fox and Lucas to squeeze
even more money out of this highly profitable franchise [Star Wars].
However, immediately after thinking this I envisioned blaster shots whizzing
by my head and light sabers coming off of the screen... OH BOY! So, I guess
I am now sucked in on the idea.
The only problem is that you shouldn't get excited yet, as the first film,
A New Hope, will not be coming out in 3D till 2007. This date will
also mark the 30th Anniversary of the beginning of the Star Wars saga. Each
additional film will come out one year after another; meaning we will not
see the end of Star Wars in theatres till about 2012. [Lucas is in an office
going 'Ch-ching ch-ching' right now].
More Positive Hopes for Revenge of the Sith
George Lucas has 20th Century Fox come in and screen
a full six minutes from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Lucas finished by
stating:
It's not like the first one. It's more emotional.
I describe it as a 'Titanic' in space. It's a real tearjerker, and it will
be received in a way that none of us can expect.
If I had a shot glass in my hand I would raise it to that.
