Cillian Murphy fits the role of creepy killer... with perfect jaw structure.
If you were wondering what Wes Craven's next would
be, wonder no more-- it is the Red
Eye. Judging by the Red Eye trailer, this film
definitely looks to have some of the best cinematography of any Craven film,
but a completely different type of horror [or should I say thriller].
Red Eye Trailer
I don't know if the movie is called Red Eye
either for the fact that it takes place on a plane or the fact that [at
least in the trailer] the main bad guy [Cillian Murphy] shows off a red
eye in the trailer. However, this is most likely just an effect for the
Red Eye trailer only.
Normally I am not all that hot on Wes Craven productions,
but Red Eye looks pretty dang interesting. I don't know if it is
the story, or should I say lack thereof, presented in the trailer. I'm not
saying the story looks weak, it is just that about three quarters of the
trailer is spent on build up rather on the actual premise. So, to help you
out, here is the synopsis for Red Eye:
Lisa Reisert [Rachel McAdams] hates to fly,
but the terror that awaits her on the night flight to Miami has nothing
to do with a fear of flying. Moments after takeoff, Lisa’s seatmate, Jackson
[Cillian Murphy], menacingly reveals the real reason he’s on board: He is
an operative in a plot to kill a rich and powerful businessman…and Lisa
is the key to its success. If she refuses to cooperate, her own father will
be killed by an assassin awaiting a call from Jackson. Trapped within the
confines of a jet at 30,000 feet, Lisa has nowhere to run and no way to
summon help without endangering her father, her fellow passengers and her
own life. As the miles tick by, Lisa knows she is running out of time as
she desperately looks for a way to thwart her ruthless captor and stop a
terrible murder.
